CPA Cromwell: Insights on Tax Cuts, Opportunity Zones
RPBA Member Expert Series Debuts with Tax Tips
Riverdale Park, MD. – Riverdale Park Business Association member and longtime College Park Certified Public Accountant Stephen Cromwell, CPA, CTRS, CVA, will break away from his busy tax season to provide members a window on the latest changes in tax law that impact small businesses at RPBA’s monthly meeting on Wednesday, Feb.12, 2020. The 90-minute session begins at 6 pm at Riverdale Park Town Hall, 5008 Queensbury Rd., Riverdale Park, MD 20737.
Cromwell, who is preparing to sit for the bar exam, is a Baltimore native who holds a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Maryland. Before becoming the Managing Partner of Cromwell & Company, Steve was the Controller for NFR Security, Inc. As a key member of the management team, he contributed to the success of completing the sale of NFR Security to Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd., (Ticker CHKP) and the post integration support of the two companies. Prior to that, he held controller positions with other high-tech firms in the Baltimore-Washington corridor and was a senior analyst position in the treasury department of ICMA Retirement Corporation in the District. In addition to being a CPA, Steve is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), a Registered Investment Advisor, a member of the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers (ASTPS) and the National Association of Valuation Analysts (NACVA). He has significant experience in tax preparation, representing clients before the IRS, auditing, business valuation, and investment advisory. When time permits, Steve teaches accounting courses at local universities and community colleges in the Metro area.
He will be available to take questions after his presentation.
